JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Internal Medicine Physician to join our growing organization and medical team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to adult patients, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of health issues. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Position includes flexibility of choosing 4 10-hour shifts (including Friday) or 5 8-hour shifts. NO CALL and NO WEEKENDS required!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Conduct thorough examinations and assessments of patients to diagnose medical conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Provide preventive care and health education to patients to promote wellness.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine practices and participate in continuing education.
This is a group medical team setting of other family practitioners and pediatricians. No inpatient coverage required.
Adheres to the American Medical Association or other appropriate professional physician code of ethics.
Communicates effectively and efficiently with patients, coworkers, and other members of the care team.
Demonstrates clinical proficiency in field through peer review and direct observation by members of the care team.
Works well with other team members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Maintains appropriate documentation in EHR system.
Provides comprehensive primary care medical services within the scope of licensure, approved IHCRC privileges, and professional ethics standards, augmented by continued training and/or certification, community standards, and experience.
Actively pursues quality improvement using GPRA measures and AAAHC recommendations.
Provides oversight to mid-level providers as needed.
REQUIRED LICENSE, CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, SPECIALIZED SKILLS
Graduate from an accredited residency program.
Valid and current Oklahoma physician license, either MD or DO.
Maintain board certification.
2+ years clinical experience preferred.
BLS CPR certification.
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency with electronic health records software.
Must be a self-starter, multi-tasker, with ability to effectively give direction to care team.
